We warmly accept all who visit and work at Grand Palms Resort.  Everyone is welcome no matter their creed, race, religion, political affiliation, gender identification, or sexual orientation.

Here's a letter shared with all employees by the executive team that summarizes our values:

We are alarmed by the events that have taken place this year including the horrific and tragic loss of lives. Stress, anger, resentment, and frustration are on display in our community, in the nation, and around the world.

Intrinsic in our culture at our Resort is our endeavor to make the world a better place for all where no one is left behind or made to feel unsafe, unaccepted, or unappreciated.

We hope to be a part of the solution in making the world a better place by each one of us being kinder, more compassionate, more understanding and more inclusive to everyone, especially to those who need it most.

At Grand Palms Resort, all employees are part of “our family” no matter their race, religion, sexual preference, political affiliation, or age.  We aspire to the same dream as Martin Luther King Jr. when he said:

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

He also said “Hate begets hate; violence begets violence; toughness begets a greater toughness. We must meet the forces of hate with the power of love... “

Our challenge is to meet those who proffer hate with love, inclusivity and with efforts to try to understand and see things from their point of view.  There is no room at our Resort for prejudiced, bigoted, or narrow views that hurt, demean, or demoralize others.  Let’s follow the golden rule where we treat others as we would like (and expect) to be treated (St. Matthew 7:12.)

We leave you with this final thought reminding us that if we desire change it starts with us.

“Be the change you want to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Thank you to all of you who make this world and our Resort a better place.

Sincerest Regards from the Grand Palms Resort Executive Team:
