Welcome to the new Front Desk building! We’d love to show you in person, but until you arrive, you can see pictures of the new building here.

Activity Center Carpeting

You may recognize the new carpeting in the Activity Center if you’ve recently checked in at the new Front Desk. This blue and gold nautilus theme runs throughout both the Activity Center and the Front Desk.

New Locks

RFID Locks

We’ve already started replacing the locks on the doors with these RFID locks and we plan to finish the project by Spring. Simply touch your card to the white block at the top and unlock the door to your vacation. These locks will keep your unit secure and they will last much longer than our old locks, as they are much more resistant to our salty air.

New Sidewalks, Curb and Gutter and More!

The concrete workers have been busy at Grand Palms Resort this year. As you walk along buildings 229 to 243, you may notice some additional sidewalks, creating a continual path all along that even-side. There’s also sidewalks along the trash receptacle areas so that you can keep you feet clean and dry as you take out the trash. In addition, we have plans to add sidewalks to the odd-side of Presidential Drive this year. We redid the sidewalks between building 201 and 207.

We’ve added curbs to the even-side of Double Eagle Drive between the Activity Center and building 206, creating a more clean-cut and beautiful aesthetic. This also improves drainage when big storms come our way. We’ll be adding more this year, including in front of buildings 208, 210 and 218.

In addition to the sidewalks and curbs, we’ve added more drainage and concrete platforms for the grills. You can see those in the above graphic.

Lighting and Landscaping

As we move along the road with curbs and sidewalks, we are going ahead and continuing to add bollard lighting along the sidewalk and outside the Outdoor Pool wall. With the new curbing and gutters comes new landscaping. More than 12,500 sq. ft. of new sod has been laid so far with more to come!

Last year, Double Eagle Drive was paved up to building 209. This year, as we continue to pour curbs and gutters, we are also paving the road next to those areas. As this project continues, Double Eagle Drive will be paved up to building 210 and also in front of 216 and 218.
