Whether you're planning your first stay at Grand Palms Resort or returning for another relaxing vacation, we hope this updated FAQ article will make your experience more exceptional.

Room Types & Amenities


What is the difference between a Two Bedroom Loft and a Two Bedroom Villa?

  • Two Bedroom Lofts typically include two floors, with a bedroom on the main level and additional sleeping space upstairs. They offer more vertical space and often feature an open loft area.

  • Two Bedroom Villas are all on one level, ideal for guests who prefer fewer stairs or need accessibility.

    *Both include full kitchens, living areas, and laundry facilities.


What's the difference between a Hotel, Deluxe Hotel, One Bedroom, and One Bedroom Loft?

  • Hotel units offer a standard room with basic amenities such as a mini fridge.

  • Deluxe Hotel rooms are more spacious with a partial kitchen, including full refrigerator, utensils, and upgraded furnishings.

  • One Bedroom units include a private bedroom, living room with sleeper sofa, full kitchen, and laundry unit.

  • One Bedroom Loft adds an upstairs loft space for additional sleeping room.


What does the partial kitchen include in the studio/hotel unit?

Partial kitchens include a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, basic dishware, and a two-burner hot plate.


Do you provide baby cribs or pack n’ plays?

While Grand Palms Resort does not provide baby cribs or pack n' plays, our owners and guests have shared very positive feedback when using Baby Gear, a local provider of a variety of baby equipment.


Do you allow pets?

Service animals that are trained to work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability are welcome at all Grand Palms Resort locations. All other animals, trained or untrained, whose sole function is to provide emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companionship do not qualify as service animals and are not permitted at the Resort.


Do you offer maid service or housekeeping? How often will housekeeping clean the room?

For weeklong stays, we offer a towel refresh and trash removal service on the 4th day. Additional cleaning or linen services are available for a nominal fee. Call Guest Services at ext. 1000 to request services.


When do I have to pay the housekeeping fee?

The timing of the housekeeping fee payment depends on several factors, including how you booked, the length of your stay, and the type of reservation. You can confirm the exact details by reviewing your booking summary.

Check-In/ Check-Out Policies


When is the latest I can check out?

Standard check-out time is 10 am. If you need a later checkout, please inquire with Guest Services at check-in. It's subject to availability and may include a fee.


Can I check in before 4 pm?

While official check-in begins at 4 pm, if you arrive early, you are welcome to enjoy the Resort amenities while your unit is being prepared. Early check-in is not guaranteed but may be available. Ask Guest Services upon arrival. Fees may apply.


What is the check-out process?

Before checking out:

  • Please place used towels in the tub or shower

  • Run the dishwasher with any used dishes

  • Take out the trash to the outside containers located on either end of your building

  • Drop your keys at Guest Services or the after-hours drop box.


Where is the key drop-off box?

The key drop-off box is mounted directly on the front desk column outside. It’s clearly marked for your convenience.


Do I need a parking pass?

Yes. You'll receive a parking pass at check-in. Please have your vehicle's make, model, and license plate number ready.

Resort Amenities & Services


Do you offer an airport shuttle?

While we do not offer airport transportation, taxis, Uber, and Lyft are available in the area. We also highly recommend renting a car to make the most of your stay and explore the surroundings easily.


What hours does the shuttle run?

Shuttle hours vary by season. During the summer months, the shuttle runs regularly from morning until late afternoon. For the most up-to-date schedule, please check the Welcome Magazine or ask Guest Services.


Where are the pickup/drop-off locations for the shuttle?

The shuttle picks up at designated areas around the resort. Drop-off is near the Surfside Beach Pier. See details on map.

Do you serve food on the property?

Yes! We have a seasonal Poolside Grill offering light bites. Hours vary by season.


Do you offer breakfast?

We have a fantastic partnership with Golden Egg just about a mile down the road. They offer a special discount to Grand Palms Resort guests. The are also several other restaurants and cafes nearby.


Where is the nearest restaurant or grocery store?

There are several restaurants within a 5-minute drive, and the nearest grocery store (Piggly Wiggly) is less than 2 miles away.

Do you rent or provide chairs and umbrellas?

Yes. Beach chairs are available to rent at the Indoor Pool Office. We invite you to bring your own umbrellas for your beach getaway.


Do you offer chairs/towels for the pool?

Towels are provided for pool use only. Beach towels are available for purchase at Guest Services and various outlets near the Resort.


Where are the towels for the pool?

Pool towels can be picked up at the Indoor Pool Office with your Recreation Pass. Towels are also provided at the Outdoor Pool and Lazy River.


Where do we get ice?

Ice is available at the Indoor Pool Office. For larger quantities, visit the self-service ice stand near the Front Office.


Do you have a spa? How do we book appointments?

Yes! Book appointments for the Mother Earth Day Spa at the Indoor Pool Office or by calling the spa directly by dialing ext. 1400.


What are your fall activities?

Our Activity Center hosts seasonal crafts, games, and more during all seasons. Check the Welcome Magazine for the current schedule.


Do you provide passes for state parks?

Yes! We offer a limited number of complimentary State Park passes at the Indoor Pool Office. Available on a first-come, first-served basis.


Do you deliver spices?

We provide basic seasonings like salt and pepper in your condo.


Do you have tickets for local attractions?

Our Hospitality Team located in the Front Lobby offer discounted tickets to several attractions across the Grand Strand. They are available during normal operating hours or by calling 843-913-5000, Ext. 1940.

Where is the preview center located?

The Preview Center can be found across the street from the Front Desk.

Pools & Recreation


Does the pool close for the winter?

The indoor pool is heated year-round. The outdoor pool is heated based on current weather conditions. Please contact Guest Services for more details.


What are the hours for the pool?

Pools are open daily from 7 am - 10 pm. The Lazy River and Indoor Pool operate from 8 am - 10 pm.


When is your pool open?

All year long! The Outdoor Pool and Lazy River remain open even in the off-season when weather permits.

Are you Oceanfront? Is your resort an oceanfront property?

Grand Palms Resort is just 2 miles from Surfside Beach, with a complimentary shuttle to get you there.


How far are you from the beach?

About 10 minutes by shuttle or car. The shuttle runs regularly to make getting there easy.


How far is Myrtle Beach from here?

Myrtle Beach is just a short drive away, approximately 15-20 minutes north depending on traffic.



Policies & Fees


How do I cancel my reservation?

Please contact our Reservations Team at 888-913-4477. Cancellation policies vary based on the type of reservation (rental, ownership, exchange, etc.)


How much is the deposit?

Deposits vary based on your reservation. Most bookings require a security deposit and resort fee, which are explained at booking and collected at check-in.


Does Wyndham own this resort?

Grand Palms Resort is independently owned and operated. However, Wyndham does manage timeshare sales and marketing on-site.


As a Wyndham VIP/Platinum member, do you offer free upgrades?

Room upgrades are not guaranteed and are based on availability. You may inquire at the Front Desk during check-in.

What time do you close?

  • Front Desk hours:

    7 am - 10 pm (Mon-Thu)

    7 am - 11 pm (Fri-Sun)

  • Indoor Pool & Amenities:

    8 am - 10 pm daily

If you're arriving after hours, follow the after-hours check-in instructions posted at the Front Desk or call Security using the phone outside the entrance.
