Wedding Planning Advice

Pick a Date/Time

Unfortunately, the best weather in popular vacation spots tends to be during the tourist season, with way more crowds, fewer availabilities, and higher prices. Make sure to book your venue and reserve room blocks to beat the crowd, especially if you're planning a destination wedding. If you plan for later in the season, you‘ll be able to save money while still enjoying the beautiful weather. To discuss group reservations at Grand Palms Resort, please contact a friendly reservations team member at 888-913-4477 who will be happy to discuss options.

Create Guest List

Deciding how big you want your wedding to be is key. Whether or not you'd like a small or big ceremony, it’s important to decide beforehand the number of people you plan to invite to your wedding. This will help you decide on which venue, wedding planning package, entertainment and catering vendors to book.

Dress & Decorations

Keep in mind the venue, time of year, and type of gathering when picking out your dress and planning your decorations. Depending on your venue, they may already supply decorations. The dress should represent you as the bride, and reflect the type of ceremony/reception you plan to have. For example, a ball gown dress wouldn't necessarily be suited for a beach wedding.
