As you drive from the Front Desk to the Resort entrance, you may not have realized that you’re driving through Deerfield Plantation – the community where Grand Palms Resort is located. This community stretches all the way from Business 17 to Highway 17 Bypass encompassing several neighborhoods in between. Grand Palms Resort has long played an active role in its community. There’s a lot going on here and you’ll notice some big changes in the neighborhood during your next visit to Grand Palms Resort.

Updates on Construction (Updated September 2024)

The Ocean Palms residential development has begun construction on its second phase of homes alongside of our Resort behind the odd-side of Double Eagle and Presidential Drives. Although there may be lots of dirt to see now, we hope that the new phase of the Ocean Palms community will only add to the view of what used to be part of the old south golf course.

The Beach Village residential development has begun construction behind the even-side of Double Eagle Drive on a section of the old south golf course. As part of this development, a large lake was created behind buildings 202 to 210.

Once the dust from the construction has settled, we will be planting additional palms and other beautiful greenery between our new neighbors and the Resort. We're committed to making Grand Palms Resort your vacation oasis and a beautiful vacation destination for you now and for years to come.

I came for my vacation the week of July 24-31. What I heard all night long was motors running to drain the water. Not one night, every night. Just tell the owners what kind of noise will be happening so they can make other plans.

Yeah, not too thrilled about all of that. Looks like it's going to encroach right onto our balconies with just the creek separating us. bummer...
