During your stay at Grand Palms Resort, there are many amenities available for you to enjoy. At the top of the list is our complimentary shuttle buses that will have your toes in the sand within minutes! All year round, our shuttles chauffeur you to and from beautiful Surfside Beach. During the winter months, in addition to the beach, our shuttles transport guests to shopping venues, events and more!
Summer Schedule
As mentioned, our shuttles run to the beach all year long. We're dedicated to making your beach vacation just that-- a vacation at the beach! We want you to be able to enjoy as much time at the beach as you would like, thus between the months of March and October, all of our 14-passenger shuttles are busy transporting guests to and from Surfside Beach. Shuttle stops are conveniently located throughout the Resort. When you're ready to go to the beach, find the shuttle stop nearest your condo. (On the first page of the Welcome Magazine is a resort map that shows you the shuttle stop locations.) Just look for a sign like the one below near your building. A shuttle will be along at the posted time to take you to the ocean.
What can I bring on the shuttle?
There is space on the bus for your favorite beach gear. Grab your umbrellas, beach chairs, and coolers with plenty of snacks for the day. (Beach chairs are available to rent at the Indoor Pool). Our friendly drivers are happy to help you load your gear onto the shuttle and answer any questions that you may have.
Winter Schedule
From November through February, the shuttles run on a winter schedule. There are several beach trips each day, but since demand for the beach is less this time of year, they run on a more limited basis. Please check the Resort's Welcome Magazine for the current shuttle schedule.
"Since demand for the beach is less in the non-summer months, we have the opportunity to take our guests to other exciting Myrtle Beach destinations," says Jerry Guskiewicz, our shuttle fleet manager.
Starting in October and throughout the fall, winter, and spring months, Grand Palms Resort offers different types of excursions to various area points of interest. We encourage you to stay tuned to our social media channels, our website, and the Resort Welcome Magazine for details on these exciting shuttle destinations.
For these special events, the shuttles work on a reservation basis. We ask the guests to contact the Indoor Pool Office at ext. 1400 by 6 pm the day before to make a reservation. We can only take a limited number of guests on these adventures -- so be sure to reserve your spot in advance!
