Are you ready to dive into the magical world of Christmas tree lighting? Get ready to be dazzled by the twinkling lights, the festive atmosphere, and the joyous spirit that fills the air during this enchanting time of year. Myrtle Beach is known for fun in the sun and sand, and did you know the Grand Strand can turn into a sparkling winter wonderland?

Here is a list of Christmas tree lightings that are sure to ignite your Christmas Spirit! Except for a few additions, this list comes from a Visit Myrtle Beach article by our friend, Ashley Daniels. You can find the original article here.

November 11, 5:30 pm

Get into the Christmas spirit at the Broadway at the Beach Tree Lighting Celebration with live performances, an appearance from Santa Claus, fireworks, and more. The tree lighting of the 46 foot Christmas tree will take place at 7 pm.

November 18, 6-8 pm

The most wonderful time of the year arrives when Santa comes to town at The Market Common to light the tree in front of Grand 14 Cinema. The three hours of festivities also include holiday performances, complimentary carriage rides starting in front of Dulce Lusso, vendors with holiday treats, and photo ops with Santa in his sleigh.

November 18, 6-8 pm

Starting with the tree lighting Barefoot Landing’s Dockside Village at 6 pm hosted by WPDE’s Ed Piotrowski, this joyous celebration continues with fireworks immediately after. The celebrations also includes visits with Santa, and holiday entertainment by Alabama Theatre, The Academy of Dance and Fine Arts & More, Luke Smith from Next Level Showcase Productions, and Greg Rowles from The Legacy Theatre.

November 25, 4-9 pm

McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach hosts a holiday spectacular, complete with the tree lighting, kids’ activities, live entertainment, refreshments, and visits with Santa and his friends.

November 28 - December 31, 6:45 pm

This is a must see! The trees are lit nightly at the famous Nights of a Thousand Candles event including an 80 foot tree with over 130,000 lights! After (and before) the tree lighting, take the opportunity to stroll through the festively lit gardens with a cup of hot cider or cocoa with family and friends. The Nights of a Thousand Candles has been called by Travel+Leisure Magazine "The Best Christmas Lights in South Carolina" (but quite possibly the best in the entire southeast.) This event has also been described as "pure holiday magic."

November 30, 6 pm

Historic downtown Conway rings in the holiday with their annual Christmas Tree Lighting in front of the charming backdrop of Town Hall on Main Street. The special event also features live music, a chance to visit with Santa and stay for some holiday shopping, as downtown stores stay open later on Thursday nights.

December 2, 4-8 pm

For a holiday lighting event closer to home, jingle all the way to the Town of Surfside Beach's Memorial Park for the merriest event of the year. At 6:30 pm, Santa himself leads the ceremonial lighting of the most magnificent tree in town. Listen to the angelic voices of the Lakewood Elementary School Chorus and toe-tapping tunes from The Entertainers. And if that's not enough to keep you holly-jolly, snag a family photo with Mr. Jolly himself on his sleigh, decorate gingerbread cookies, or get your face painted like a Christmas character. You can also enjoy a bite to eat from the event vendors on hand.
