Staying healthy while traveling is a proactive process! With a little preparation, being (and staying!) in good health on vacation can become a lot easier.

Key Points
|
Here are some tips to take care of yourself during your Grand Palms Resort vacation.
Refill prescriptions early and pack go-to medications
If you’re flying, pack your medications and medical supplies in your carry-on, so if luggage gets lost or delayed, you'll have access to necessary medications. Before you leave, order prescription refills, contact lenses, and any medical supplies you need. Make sure you have enough for your whole trip.
Use good judgment when eating out
We all love a delicious vacation meal, and it's hard sometimes to remember our bodies need nutrients and vitamins. Try to choose some greens, fruits and veggies occasionally to keep your body feeling its best!

Remember to hydrate
Pack a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated, including water for children or pets traveling with you. You could also set reminders on your phone to drink more water throughout the day.
Plan movement into your days
While traveling, flex your ankles and occasionally take short walks down the aisle if you're flying. If you're on the road, take breaks to stretch and walk around rest areas. During your stay at Grand Palms Resort, make time for movement! Walk to the pool, take a stroll on the beach, visit our fitness center.

Pack a first aid kit
Bring over-the-counter essentials, so you can start feeling better right away and can skip the trip to the pharmacy. For suggestions on kick-starting your first aid kit, click here.
Listen to Your Body
Pay attention to any unusual symptoms you develop while traveling. Don't ignore them, hoping they'll go away. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention promptly.
