Location and Transportation


Q: How far are you from Myrtle Beach?

A: Myrtle Beach is just a short drive away, approximately 15-20 minutes north depending on traffic.


Q: How far is Grand Palms Resort from the beach?

A: The Resort is about 10 minutes by shuttle or car.


Q: When does the beach shuttle run?

A: The Resort provides a beach shuttle service, which runs daily, on the hour, from 9 am (first pick up from the resort) to 5 pm (last shuttle from the Surfside Beach Pier). Shuttle hours vary by season.


Q: Can the shuttle take me to stores, restaurants and attractions? A: Starting in October and throughout the fall, winter, and spring months, Grand Palms Resort offers different types of excursions to various area points of interest. We encourage you to stay tuned to our social media channels, our website, and the Resort Welcome Magazine for details on these exciting shuttle destinations.

Q: How far are you from the airport?

A: Grand Palms Resort is approximately 15 minutes from the Myrtle Beach International Airport.


Q: Where is the nearest grocery store?

A: There are several grocery stores within a 5-minute drive, and the nearest grocery store (Piggly Wiggly) is less than 2 miles away.



Check-In / Check-Out Questions


Q: When is check-in?

A: Check-in begins at 4 pm. If you arrive before 4 pm and would like to check in early, you may ask a Guest Services Agent for availability once you've arrived.


Q: When is the Front Desk open?

A: 7 am - 11 pm Daily


Q: Is the early check-in fee waivable?

A: The check-in fee is required. If you'd like to check into your room early, you will need to pay an early check-in fee. This fee is based on availability and the price is contingent upon the proposed check-in time. We will try our best to accommodate an early check-in, however, we cannot guarantee availability.


Q: Do you take cash for the pre-authorization deposit?

A: We are a cashless resort. A credit or debit card will be preauthorized for $100 for incidentals.

Q: What are the check-out procedures?

A: Check-out is at 10 am. Trash Receptacles are located on each end of the building. It would be helpful to our team if guests took out the trash, loaded and started the dishwasher, and placed dirty towels and linens in a pile. Keys may be dropped off in the bin located at the Front Desk counter.

We have an Express Check-out option for those who'd like to check-out early, please call extension 1010 and leave a message stating you'd like an express checkout.


Q: Can I receive a free upgrade or late check-out based on my Wyndham membership level?

A: Our guest services team is happy to work with you on any special requests. Because Grand Palms Resort is managed separately from Wyndham, upgrades will be considered separate from Wyndham Membership Level.


Q: Can I use my points to add another night?

A:  Guests will need to contact Wyndham Owner Care (for Wyndham Owners) and RCI (for RCI Members) to use their points.

Property Amenities & Services


Q: When are the pools open?

A: 7 am to 10 pm


Q: Do you offer cribs or baby gear?

A: While Grand Palms Resort does not provide baby cribs or pack n' plays, our owners and guests have shared very positive feedback when using Baby Gear, a local provider of a variety of baby equipment.


Q: Do you offer beach chairs?

A: Yes! You can rent beach chairs at the Indoor Pool Office.


Q: Where are the pool towels located?

A: Pool towels may be picked up at the Indoor Pool Office with your Recreation Pass. Towels are also provided at the Outdoor Pool and Lazy River.

Q: Do you have elevators?

A: While we do not have elevators at the Resort, you can request a ground floor or ADA unit when making your reservations.


Q: Do you provide breakfast? A: We have a fantastic partnership with Golden Egg just about a mile down the road. They offer a special discount to Grand Palms Resort guests. The are also several other restaurants and cafes nearby.


Q: Do you serve food on the property?

A: Yes! We have a seasonal Poolside Grill offering light bites. Hours vary by season.


Q: How can I find my unit?

A: Please refer to the map below. Call us by dialing 843-913-5000, ext. 0, if you are having trouble using the map to locate your unit.

Q: Does Grand Palms Resort have any oceanfront property?

A: The resort is located just 2 miles from Surfside Beach, with a complimentary shuttle to get you there easily.

Resort Policies


Q: Do you allow pets/animals on property?

A: Service animals that are trained to work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability are welcome at all Grand Palms Resort locations. All other animals, trained or untrained, whose sole function is to provide emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companionship do not qualify as service animals and must have separate accommodations


Q: Do you allow golf carts or trailers on property?

A: Due to parking constraints, we must limit spaces to only regular sized vehicles such as cars, trucks, and motorcycles. We do not allow golf carts, trailers, or scooters. Please be sure to register your vehicle at check-in.

Unit & Housekeeping


Q: How do I get extra supplies?

A: Please call Guest Services at extension 1000 and and we will be happy to help you. Several grocery stores are nearby, for your additional needs. To reduce our environmental footprint, we kindly request your participation in the following conservation initiatives:

  1. Please rehang any towels you are willing to reuse.

  2. During your stay, towels will be refreshed and garbage will be removed usually on the fourth day of a 7-night stay.

  3. Additional bath products are available upon request by calling extension 1700.

Q: Where do I take my trash?

A: Guests can deposit their trash in the outside containers located on either end of your building.


Q: Can I recycle on site?

A: Yes! The recycle bins are located across the street from Building 218.


Q: How many beds are in my unit / how many guests can it accommodate?

A: Grand Palms Resort has 18 different unit configurations available. Please view the accommodations tab on our website or call Reservations at 888-913-4477.

Resort Information & Ownership


Q: Does Wyndham own the Resort?

A: Grand Palms Resort is independently owned and operated. However, Wyndham does manage timeshare sales and marketing on-site.


Q: Is this a timeshare company?

A: Yes, we are mixed-use vacation ownership (timeshare) resort that also includes short term and long term rentals, along with whole ownership association management. 


Q: Will I be pressured to attend a presentation?

A: Sales presentations are not a requirement of your stay unless required in the purchased package.

Q: May I speak to a manager?

A: Guest Services can route any of your concerns to the appropriate manager and coordinate that communication.
